Heather McLeod Grant is a donor advisor, author, and serial entrepreneur with 30+ years of leadership in social impact. 

Heather works with UHNW women ($50M+) to unlock greater giving and social impact. In 2015 she co-founded Open Impact – a national women-owned philanthropy advising firm in Silicon Valley – which helped channel over $10B to causes. Heather began her career in the 1990’s as an Echoing Green Fellow and co-founder of Who Cares Magazine. She worked at McKinsey & Co. and helped lead Monitor Institute’s nonprofit practice. She was a Venture Partner with the Draper Richards Kaplan foundation; designed and ran the cross-sector New Leadership Network; and has served on more than 10 nonprofit boards. Heather is the co-author of the bestselling book Forces for Good: The Six Practices of High Impact Nonprofits, and lead author on The Giving Code, The Giving Journey, Pioneers in Justice, The New Normal, Leading Systems Change, among many other publications. She earned an MBA from Stanford University, and an AB from Harvard.
